It’s hard to say, really. I thought I had lost more but my scale broke and I’m since on my fourth scale with two returns to Wal-Mart. I bought a Taylor Scale that measures BMI. It didn’t work. It varied weighing me between 181 lbs and 320 lbs. Huge difference there! So I thought I’d get another of the same type. It said I weighed 19 lbs. Yeah, I don’t think that’s right either. So finally I said forget the BMI scales, I’m going back to a plain jane digital scale like I had before my original died from drowning on my bathroom floor. Don’t ask… it’s a toddler thing. I picked it up last week and weighed this morning.
Drum roll please….
I am down to 261.6. Not a huge weight loss, but it wasn’t a gain. I thought I had lost 5 lbs the first week, but I wonder if it made a difference using different scales.
Anyway, I’m going to keep on the Alli. I have two weeks left of my current bottle, and then I’ll try it for at least another month.
I have been really bad about updating, I’m so sorry! This has been a very busy month for us. I have a feeling that all summer will be!
Unfortunately I am unable to weigh myself at the present time. The kids managed to flood the bathroom and since then, my scale hasn’t worked. I’m going to have to see if maybe it’s the batteries. Hopefully that’s all it is, I don’t want to buy a new one. If I do, I may get one of those nice ones that even measure BMI. We’ll see.
I haven’t done the greatest with eating. I have done better, though, with snacks. I have opted for yogurt, animal crackers and fig bars. Hopefully that has made a difference, we’ll see. I’ve been limiting my portion sizes for meals and trading in soda for diet sodas. I’m still drinking a few regular sodas each week. Hey, it’s a start, right?
I bought a bottle of Alli and started it last night. I took it once before, before it was available over the counter and the only reason that I didn’t continue it was because it was so expensive. It still costs quite a bit, but there’s a huge difference between $50 for 90 pills and $300 for 90 pills. I tend to have lowfat breakfasts anyway - usually a slimfast, small bowl of cereal or toast, so I can usually elimante a morning pill.
I’m going to try to get the scale fixed and measure myself and check back soon. Here’s hoping for a little loss!!
