About Me

My name is Lisa. I’m 30, married to Mike and have three kids at home. My twin boys, Aaron and Nicholas are about to turn 4. My daughter, Annabelle, is 2. We also have another daughter, Mariam, who was born sleeping nearly 5 years ago.

I am currently a stay at home mom. I am the founder and president of The MOM Project, a nonprofit organization that gives support to families who have lost a child. We have monthly support group meetings and send out free memorial items such as bereaved mother’s bracelets, commemorative birth certificates and recognition of life certificates. The MOM Project relies heavily on donations, so any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!

My hobbies include graphic design, web design, scrapbooking, knitting and beading. I love scary movies. My favorites include Stephen King’s The Stand, the Hannibal Lector series and the Saw movies. Although psycholigical thrillers are my favorite, I also enjoy movies from other genres from time to time. My favorite comedy is Dumb and Dumber. My favorite action is Armageddon. My favorite romance is The Notebook. My favorite documentary is Supersize Me. My favorite indie is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Oh, and just about anything by Kevin Smith!

I’m also a gamer, though I don’t have much time since having kids. My absolute favorite game series is Silent Hill (the movie has nothing on the games!) I also love Resident Evil, and have been known to play Tomb Raider and Final Fantasy. For more “traditional” games, I love Yahtzee, Collapse and Peggle.

When it comes to music, I like a wide variety, from Jars of Clay to Disturbed. I also love Newsboys, Audio Adrenaline and Red Hot Chili Peppers. I’m not much of a country fan, but have a soft spot for Randy Travis and George Straight.

I’m an avid reader, or as Stephen King would say, Constant Reader. Yes, I’m a Stephen King nut. I love [nearly] everything he writes. I didn’t care too much for The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, though it might make a better movie than a book. I just couldn’t get into it. I also love Dean Koontz, and have read a little John Saul.
