I haven't been posting on my blog much lately because it's been overrun with spam. You don't see it because it sits in moderation. I just deleted 600 spam comments. It's just insane, I don't even know how they find my blog but it sure is annoying.
I don't even know where I left off. Did I mention that Nick's lead level came back at 5 after his chelation therapy? I was thrilled!! What a relief. Annabelle and Aaron had a lead test yesterday. I'll call this afternoon to get the results. I'm a bit nervous about it.
You know what I really really hate about all this is? The kids are not allowed to go outside and play. How do you explain to three 2 year olds that they aren't allowed to play outside because there's lead in the soil? They beg, they want to go out so bad. It's been gorgeous outside. We have all these toys in the backyard, and they sit untouched. This really sucks!! I really hate that my kids are having to pay for this. It's not like I can take them to the park whenever I want, because there's three of them and one of me. If there was two, maybe.Â
That may change this August, though, as the boys got into pre-k! How exciting! They'll be going in the afternoon, from 12-2:25. What am I going to do with just one?? I thought about putting Annabelle in a daycare and either going back to school or getting a part time job. Here's my plan. I could drop Annie off with a daycare or babysitter at 11:30, take the boys to pre-k and start work by 12:30 or 1. The boys could stay with a sitter from 2:45 to 4 when Mike gets home from work. It may actually be doable! We'll have to see. I hope pre-k goes well for them.
We haven't done anything with our house lately, we just haven't had the money. As soon as we can get some work done on it:
Then we'll consider putting it on the market. Maybe the real estate market will be better by then. Long term plans, I'd like to redo the walls & floors in the bathroom and put in a new shower/tub and pedestal sink. It sounds like a lot but our bathroom is tiny so it shouldn't be that bad. Plus, Mike just helped is Grandpa redo their bathroom so he's familiar with it.
The kids have been really testing me lately, I don't know what's going on! They will not stay out of stuff they aren't allowed to do. It's so frustrating.
Did I mention we're potty training? No? Well we are, woohoo!! Aaron seems to really be picking it up. He'll tinkle almost every time he sits on the potty. He still has accidents, though, we've only been really doing this since Friday. Nick's starting to pick it up too. I had Aaron on the big potty yesterday and Annie came in there with her diaper off, and sat on the little potty. A minute later she got up and there was pee pee in the potty! I was shocked!! It was probably just a coincidence, but wow! We spend over $100/month on diapers, wouldn't it be great to have all three potty trained? That's over $1200/year extra cash! Cha-ching!!
Have you heard about Posh Points yet? It's like ebay, but it's trading items. You sell items (no seller fees) and get points for payment. You then use your points to "buy" things. The seller pays for shipping. If you sign up before June 1, you get 15 points free for signing up! After June 1, you can still trade for free, but for premium service, they ask for a fee ($15+15 points for 6 months or $30/year.) It's totally worth it for me because I trade so much, I got Annie a whole new wardrobe!! You can sign up at http://www.poshpoints.com/default.aspx?ref=12560Â
Oh, and I have a BIG little favor to ask of you. It's big for me but little for you. I just want you to register at this site, http://www.wowio.com
You'll need a valid email address that's not from a free site like yahoo or hotmail to sign up with. You can use the one your internet provider gave you or I'll give you one from The MOM Project. At the end of the registration it will ask you to provide a referral, use lisa@memoriesofmariam.com
That's all you have to do, just register. If I can get 5 more people to do this, I'll get a free ipod shuffle! If you want one too, you can get one by having 10 people register and use you as a referral. I really would appreciate it if some of you did this for me! I do so much for others, I try to help whenever I can, and I never ask for anything in return. So I am asking now, will you please just register on that site? It's an ebook site, and you don't have to buy anything and you don't have to pay for anything. It's totally free, all you have to do is register and I will be so incredibly thankful!!!
