This may seem a little far fetched to some. So, I'm just going to pour out some ideas, theories, facts and Biblical quotes and see if anyone else comes to the same conclusion.

The Mayan Prophecy

When you look into the Mayan Prophecies, it's really unsettling how accurate they have been when predicting cycles and events. The Mayan Prophecy says that our fifth and final sun will occur in the year 2012 with a sudden shift in the Earth's magnetic field. I watched a special about this on The Discovery Channel recently and found it fascinating. It included recent events such as tsunamis, earthquakes, assasinations and even 9/11. Of course, something like this is wide open for all types of interpretations.

Biblical End Times

In the Bible, the 7 Signs of the Coming of the End:

7- "This good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed to the whole world", v.14, corresponds to the 7th seal, in Rev.8:1, the 7 Trumpets!.

Many could argue that this has been coming, and the war against Terrorism could fit into many of these signs.

The Antichrist

If I recall correctly, and I could be wrong, the Antichrist is supposed to come out of nowhere and be widely loved.

The Presidential Election

Our next presidential election is in 2008. The next will be 2012. (Remember that The Mayan Prophecy claims the world will end in 2012.)

Do The Mayan Prophecy, the Book of Revelation and the next Presidential election have something in common?

This is a letter from our utility company. They just increased our rates. I only typed out the important parts.

Yeah, that's just what I want. To pay a huge portion of the next three years worth of bills plus interest in a few years. You know how many people are going to be duped into this? I think of all the low income, fixed income families. They can't afford their utility bills already. They are going to be forced into taking this deal. Come 2010, not only are they going to be paying 150% of their average 2006 bill, they are going to be paying interest on the past three years. I can just see people being suckered into this. What they are really doing is trying to collect interest on already high service rates and making it sound like a good deal.

I guess I now know a new emotion- sheer terror.

Today was the grand parade for the annual Apple Festival.  About half an hour into it, I spotted this person walking through the crowd, wearing a makeshift mask out of an upside down do-rag and holding a handmade sign high in the air for everyone to see.  I don't quite understand what it meant, but it said,

David's Son

and there was another line about a mother, but I can't remember it.  I was scared to death, I almost packed the kids up and left, but my mom convinced me to stay.  He looked like he was ready to open fire at any moment.  Throughout the whole parade, I couldn't shake the feeling I had, and we ended up leaving early anyway.

The news hasn't been on, but I haven't heard any rumors, so I'm assuming that nothing happened.  But, I was terrified!  I don't think I've ever felt that way before. 

On a positive note, the kids loved the parade!

You know I never complain about money, but this is just getting to me now. I hate being poor.

It's not our fault, it's not like we're doing it to ourselves, it's the big corporations (yeah, that's my conspiracy theory.) Seriously, we work (well, I worked to get paid before kids) and Mike makes good money for this area, but all of our money goes right to the bills, we have nothing left over for ourselves.

Since we're "working class poor," we had to buy a house that needed repairs. We got a really good deal on it, but I had no idea that it would cost us the family's health in the long run. I *wish* we could afford a nice $100k house, I really wish we could. Now we have to deal with lead poisoning, mold, substandard wiring, inefficiency. UGH!!! I just want to cry (and I have been.) It's not our fault, we've done nothing wrong, but we get dealt these crappy cards all the time. We don't live off the system like so many other people could in our situation, we are trying to make it, and we're failing.

I am terrified that if we can't get the lead down in the kids and get it removed from our house that they'll take our kids away. I've cried all week over this, I cannot live without them. They are my whole purpose, if it weren't for them, I don't know where I'd be right now. All of this is coming up on Mariam's birthday, and I am having such a hard time with it.

Why do the oil companies need billion dollar profits? I'd just like a few thousand of that to make my kids healthy again. What about the utility company? Does Ameren really need my $5k a year? I bet it's just a drop in the bucket for them, but it could mean life or death for my kids. I'm not exaggerating on that, either. If their lead levels keep going up at the rate they are, they'll start getting even more sick and it'll eventually kill them. I HATE these big corporations. We need this stuff to live, but paying for them is costing us big time.
