Statistics:

Stillbirth, for decades, has been overlooked and disregarded as
the number one mechanism for child death. Estimates range from
25,000 to 39,000 stillbirths annually in the U.S. That is
approximately 83 per day or 4 per hour. |

Researchers Estimate that among women who already know they are
pregnant, nearly fifteen percent will have a miscarriage.
|
 |
According to national statistics, stillbirths occur in nearly
one in 200 pregnancies in the United States every year. |
 |
Premature birth occurs in between eight and ten percent of all
pregnancies in the United States; it remains one of the top
causes of infant death in this country.

 |
SIDS
is the leading cause of death in babies after one month of age.
Researchers estimate that SIDS is the cause of about 2,500
infant deaths each year. |
